    How to ensure the quality of EN10217 LSAW steel tubes during transportation and storage?

    1. Storage conditions:

    - The steel pipe shall not be directly stacked on the ground, steel plate or cement floor, and the distance between the first layer of steel pipe and the ground shall not be less than 0.20m to avoid moisture, dust and pollution.

    - Both ends of the steel pipe must be bound with plastic paper or packaging bags to prevent dust from entering.

    - The rack or stack shall be neatly arranged and clearly marked and numbered, and the steel pipe shall be placed on the designated rack or stack according to the furnace number (batch number), variety, specification and material.

    2. Stacking requirements:

    - In order to prevent bending of the steel pipe or damage to the pipe surface, the steel pipe (or pipe bundles) should be placed on the sleepers at appropriate intervals and at the same level, ensuring that one end of the steel pipe is aligned.

    - For annealed copper pipes, aluminum pipes and similar hoses, isolation sleepers should be placed between each layer, at least two places per layer, the sleepers should be placed perpendicular to the steel pipe, and face up and down to ensure a straight and aligned.

    3. Open storage protection:

    - Cold-rolled, cold-drawn or bright-annealed steel pipes are not allowed to be stored in the open air. If limited by inventory conditions, appropriate protective measures should be taken when open storage is required to avoid corrosion of media such as rain, snow, fog and a large amount of dust pollution of the steel pipe.

    4. Transportation requirements:

    - The compartment should be clean and free of stones, bricks and other hard objects to prevent it from hurting the steel pipe.

    - For bulk or bundled steel pipes, the bottom of the carriage should be padded with sleepers. For vehicles using steel structure brackets on flat trucks, protective rubber pads must be installed on the full length of the sides in contact with the steel pipes.

    - When the steel pipe (or pipe bundle) is transferred to the warehouse in the factory area, the steel pipe (or pipe bundle) should be properly placed isolation sleepers, at least two places along the length direction of the steel pipe, the cushion wood should be placed perpendicular to the steel pipe, and the top and bottom are aligned.

    - For the finished steel pipe delivered to the user for long distance transportation, it should be tied up firmly after loading, if the steel wire rope or similar hard objects are tied up, the steel pipe should be padded with protective isolators or installed on the steel wire rope to prevent damage to the surface of the steel pipe, to avoid direct collision between the steel pipe and the carriage, friction and forward and forward movement.
