    Core characteristics and standard requirements

    1. Material and chemical composition

EN 39 scaffolding pipes are usually made of carbon steel, such as Q235B, and their chemical composition must meet the restrictions on carbon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and other elements in the EN 39 standard to ensure material strength and weldability.

    2. Size specifications

    • Common outer diameter: 48.3mm (conforming to nominal size requirements in EN 39)

    • Wall thickness range: 3.2mm or 4mm (depending on load-bearing requirements)

    • Length: Usually 6 meters standard tube, can also be customized.

    3. Surface treatment

Hot dip galvanizing is required, and the thickness of the zinc layer is ≥85μm to improve corrosion resistance and adapt to open air or humid environment.

    4. Mechanical properties

    • Tensile strength: ≥340MPa

    • Yield strength: ≥235MPa

    • Elongation: ≥22% (to ensure plastic deformation capacity)

    Application Fields

    1. Construction scaffolding system

It is used to build portal, bowl buckle or disc scaffold to provide structural support for high-altitude working platform.

    2. Industrial equipment maintenance

In the field of petrochemical, electric power and other equipment maintenance, as a temporary support frame.

    3. Special environment adaptation

The galvanized layer can withstand the coastal environment of high salt spray and industrial corrosive media, and extend the service life.

    Production and quality control

    1. Enforce standards

    • Manufacturing standard: EN 39 (European standard for scaffold pipes)

    • Supporting accessories standard: such as BS 1139 (British scaffolding fastener standard).

    2. Test items

    • Dimensional tolerance: Outer diameter ±0.5mm, wall thickness ±10%

    • Adhesion of galvanized layer: verified by bending test

    • Pressure test: Simulate the compression performance under actual load.

    Selection suggestions

    1. Safety factor

Wall thickness is selected according to construction height and load, 4mm wall thickness is suitable for heavy scaffold system.

    2. Environmental adaptation

Galvanized pipes are preferred in high humidity or corrosive environments.

    3. Accessory compatibility

It must be paired with EN 39 standard fasteners (such as BS 1139) to ensure connection stability.
