2. Materials and Manufacturing
• Material Requirements:

4. Mechanical properties

• Surface treatment:
The inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe should be smooth, free from cracks, folds, scars and other defects.
Minor scratches or oxide layers are allowed, but they must not affect the performance in use.
• Testing Requirements:
• Non-destructive testing (NDT) : Welded pipes need to undergo ultrasonic or eddy current testing to ensure the quality of the weld seams.
• Hydrostatic test: Optional. The test pressure is determined through negotiation between the manufacturer and the customer.
• Dimensional inspection: Each batch of steel pipes needs to be sampled for inspection of the outer diameter, wall thickness and length.

• Certification Requirements: It needs to be certified by the Australia/New Zealand Joint Certification System (JAS-ANZ) or a third-party testing institution.
• Marking content: Each steel pipe should be marked with the manufacturer's name, standard number (AS1163), grade (such as C350), size and batch number.
