Armenia Heat Preservation And Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe

Product Description

Insulation and anti-corrosion steel pipes are a type of composite steel pipes that combine the functions of insulation and anti-corrosion. By adding insulation layers and anti-corrosion layers on the outside of the steel pipes, they achieve the dual purposes of maintaining the stable temperature of the transported medium in different working environments and preventing the pipes from corrosion.

Main application

It is used for transporting liquid or gas media that need to maintain a specific temperature, such as hot water, steam, petroleum, chemical raw materials, etc. It is widely used in centralized heating, petrochemical industry, municipal engineering and other fields.

Basic structure:

The heat insulation and corrosion-resistant steel pipes usually adopt a multi-layer composite structure, which is mainly divided into two types:

  1. Inner sliding type: From the inside out, it consists of the working steel pipe, silicagel/flow resistance layer, microporous silicate calcium insulation layer, stainless steel fastening steel strip, aluminum foil reflective layer, polyurethane insulation layer, outer steel pipe, and outer anti-corrosion layer.
  2. Outer sliding type: It is composed of the working steel pipe, glass wool insulation layer, aluminum foil reflective layer, stainless steel fastening strip, sliding guide support, air insulation layer, outer protective steel pipe, and outer anti-corrosion layer.

The main difference from ordinary steel pipes:

Comparison dimensionOrdinary steel pipeInsulation and anti-corrosion steel pipe
StructureMade of a single piece of steel, with a simple structure.Multi-layer composite structure (working tube + insulation layer + anti-corrosion layer)
Thermal insulation performanceWithout insulation layer, heat loss is significant.

Insulation layer (such as polyurethane, glass wool, etc.)has a low thermal conductivity (≤ 0.033 W/(m·K)), and the heat loss is only 25% of that of traditional pipes.

Corrosion resistance:Prone to rust and corrosion, requires additional anti-corrosion treatment.Comes with anti-corrosion coatings (such as 3PE, epoxy powder, etc.), resistant to acid, alkali, and salt water corrosion, with a design lifespan of 30-50 years.
Mechanical propertiesRely on the strength of the steel itself.

The composite structure enhances the overall strength and compressive capacity, and can be directly buried for installation, capable of withstanding soil loads.

Installation and maintenanceIt requires pipe trenches or supports, and the maintenance cost is relatively high.It can be directly buried, with simple construction and low maintenance costs
CostInitial cost is low.The initial cost is relatively high, but there is significant energy savings during long-term operation, resulting in a lower overall cost.

Main application fields:

Central heating systems: Main pipelines of urban heating networks, maintaining the temperature of hot water or steam.

Petroleum and natural gas industry: Transporting crude oil, natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas, providing corrosion protection and maintaining the temperature of the medium.

Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals: Pipelines for transporting corrosive media or for processes requiring constant temperature.

Municipal engineering: Water supply and drainage, fire protection pipelines, urban integrated pipeline tunnels.

Other fields: Electric power steam transmission, LNG cryogenic pipelines, marine engineering, air conditioning and ventilation ducts, etc.

Summary:

The heat preservation and anti-corrosion steel pipe, due to its outstanding heat preservation and anti-corrosion properties, outperforms ordinary steel pipes in terms of reducing energy loss, prolonging pipeline lifespan, and simplifying construction. It has become a crucial material in modern industrial and municipal pipeline systems.
